Not like many others on this forum, I'm not that much of a fan of the two tones, but I like the black over yellow. If my ride looked like that one, I might wash it more often :jester

Has anyone seen these yet??? They just started showing up here at the local WalMarts. I bought what they had here. They look good, better the Match box cars.

The model gives me some good customizing ideas. I like the front and side ground effects(wish someone would manufacture them) and the twin duals. Also the fflattened hood .

6.0....Someone does manufacture the rockers as seen on the minatures. MPD-INC makes the rockers. A quality product he makes and install instructions to boot.

OK - so I've had both models sitting on the shelf for the last month or so, and never noticed the cut in the hood. It actually looks pretty darned good.

The concept makes more sense than a forward facing hood scoop - with the opening facing rear the way it does, it should relieve pressure under the hood, creating a greater air flow.

Jim G - weigh in with your thoughts about an area towards the front of the hood creating a negative pressure - could it work to improve cooling?

I have bought several sets of them... one day they may be worth something.
But one thing I have done, Since my Slingshot Yellow is in the body shop right now getting the rear end repaired, I showed the paint man the yellow and black two tone and asked about a price to do that and to have it done right. He said that it would be in the $3k price range. He said the hood, all the top parts, the top cover, bed cover, waterfall, trim around the windshield, and doors would need to come off. It might be worth it one day, but not now. Maybe a winter project for the end of this year.

If you wash the top half, you won't have to worry about those puddles. They'll just keep the "paint" fresh looking down below! :jester

:banghead If only I had seen this a few months ago before I called the dealer to order the running boards...I loved the look of the rockers since I saw them (or at least something similar) on the Diamondback SSR. But thanks for the link, I might get lucky and find an extra $1,000 laying around some day...
