I'm a "newbie" to this site, just found it yesterday, and I think it's a great! Took delivery of my Redline Red SSR on Fri. at Sabaugh Chevrolet in Herculaneum, Mo. which is about 240 miles from my home at Paris Landing, Tn. I didn't order this car just sort of stumbled across it by way of a friend who was having her Blazer serviced and a salesman told her about the SSR that was coming in. I made the deal over the telophone without having ever seen a SSR in real life! Looks better than the photos! Only option I REALLY need is a set of the #12499191 running boards. I live on a typical Tennessee gravel road and the wide front tires throw up rocks causing rock chips on the rear fenders. I tried to order a set through 3 different Chevrolet dealers and found that they're on "order constraint". Can't be ordered at this time as the supplier is sending all they produce to the mfg. line. If anyone knows of a dealer, or someone who has an extra set, or someone who didn't install theirs pls. let me know as I really need a set of the running boards. Looking forward to hearing all of yours stories about your SSR'S.

:cheers Congrats on your new ride. Actually, there was someone on this forum who said they planned on taking their running boards off, I just don't recall who it was. They said it was a pain to get in and out of the vehicle with them, but I think they are essential for rock chip probs.

I didn't order the running boards, originally. But the SSR I finally got had them.

They are a bit pointless as a functional accessory - but they look great! I'm glad I have them.
