Low temp stats

BlastfromPast said:
I will be installing a reduced temp 'stat on my SSR and I have had great results from doing this on vehicles with engine driven fans. What info do you have on the operating parameters of the electric fan on the SSR such as on/off temps, resetting parameters, etc.

Thanks!! Blast
I do not think the low temp stats will have much effect on the SSR since the fan is programed to turn on/off as follows:
Low speed ON at 226 F and OFF at 219 F.
High speed On at 235 F and OFF at 226 F.
With the A/C OFF.
Somewhat lower temps if the A/C is ON. :flag

Thanks Blast for the vote of confidence! No there is not a second fan but the PCM provides two separate circuits through relays that control the amount of voltage that gets to the two circuits. One circuit (hight speed) gets full B+ protected with a 60A fuse. The slower speed circuit has an in-line resistor internal to the cooling fan to obtain low speed operation. This circuit is protected with a 10A fuse.
I agree, the help that we can give each other is what makes this site what it is! :flag
