Flew to Missoula Montana on Friday the 5th. Took delivery of #1740. Karl Tyler Chevrolet was great to work with.
Drove West on I-90 over Lookout Pass. Was a bit dicey - MT uses GRAVEL on the snow. Made it thru w/o damage! Was able to drive out between snow storms - but lots of rain - NO LEAKS. Got as far as Pasco WA.
Saturday: Columbia River I-84 to I-5 then south into CA.
No rain - blue skies in the AM. See photo attached.
Got as far as Weed CA.
Today - Home to Kingsburg. Early start got the final leg of 400 miles done by noon.
What a GREAT truck. Crazy how so few people even know what a SSR is. Got my photo taken by a passing motorist. Lots of thumbs up - even from a restored '39 Chevy Coupe near Portland. I'd buy a SSR in every color if I could affort it - but this Yellow truck of mine is perfect!
The image I've looked at as my computer background for months is now real: 10 feet away in my garage!
