I sold the batch to mike ,the petroleum market went up 67% and so did silicone.
The material cost increased and so did the finished product.

This is why I got out of the middle of selling the Gee-Bee Racing hoses. The increase in silicone price did not leave enough room for a middle man. It was a nice try, but I had to step out....

@GB92270 - thanks for your efforts on the hoses. I still think they look great. Best of luck with the sale of your SSR. It is a really nicely finished truck with the right (and tasteful) add-ons. Spotless clean... If I wanted a nice 6-speed, it would have been mine by now.

The rest of the SSR family needs to remember their manners..................

Years ago I purchased a Yellow Faceplate from Speedo and, LIKE A DUMMY, never had it installed.

When I had one it did a little, but you can also cover the backside with black tape and you’ll be good.

So let me get this straight... You supposedly put all this time, energy and money into developing and building the silicon hoses for the SSR and now you're just going to walk away from it? No warranty for any buyers? Sorry but this just doesn't smell right. Buyer beware.

So do I understand correctly that if someone takes possession of your "SSR hose biz" they are responsible for YOUR warranty??? What a crock.

the new owner of tooling rights will have the same warranty in writing.

I not sure what the warranty is with the Samco silicone hoses that mike is selling.

I have seen failure due to abrasion wear before, never internal.

We duplicate what people send in for production or one of builds .

I had a horse in the race for years, although it's not required to post. And frankly, I think he has a very nice SSR and hope it finds a good home.

Glad to hear you're going to honor your warranty even if your tooling is gone and you aren't able to reproduce the product. At least the buyers will have an opportunity to get their money back should they have a problem.
