I am getting rid of my C5 and have a few upf Ultraguard 44 AC Delco oil filters left. just wondering if this fits in the o5 , I know it works on 03 & 04 as someone posted when I did a search.

Also do you guys change your oil @ the 1500 mile mark the first time?
and is it necessary to get a magnetic drain plug
and do you need to lift the back end to get all the oil out like on a C5?

For those that do their own oil changes,
do you use Rino ramps or is there enough ground
clearanceto get underneath.

I can't speak for the 05 but on the mileage to change oil, some people immediatley changed the factory oil, others waited the time out, and depending of how long it sat at the dealer. I haven't changed my oil myself, simply because I signed up for the preferred customer service at my dealer and they haven't charged me for an oil change.

The owners manual list the replacement as AC P/N - PF46, but my 05 had a PF44 installed from the factory.

Well if it takes a PF46 then a UPF44 will work just fine. don't take my word for it..Read below...
