2006 New Color Info

Hi guys -

Dropped my Asphalt off at the dealer last night to take care of their We Owe stuff and my other niggles...

And I asked the salesman, who happens to be my future father-in-law, if he'd heard anything on the new color for 2006.

Now, this isn't concrete, treat it only as hearsay because he didn't get the info directly from GM of course, he's not 100% sure or anything...

Steel Blue.

Near as I can tell it'll be kind of like LeMans Blue but with a stronger grey undertone.

Will it be a good color for SSR? I can't even fathom whether it would or wouldn't.

Now, it's still not official, but it's a little better to me than speculation.

Marc - I'm sorry, I didn't hear it stated as "Steel Blue" being the color name, but that's how it sounded to me from the description. I'm perfecty fine to be wrong here, I can only relate what I heard =0)
But the new blue isn't medium to dark according to the true info posted above - sounds like more of a turquoise or something by Marc's reaction to the photoshopped one and the confirmation of Pacificc Blue (and I can't find a photo of a chevy anything in pacific blue to compare)

Next Question: To see if anyone might know this... hmm what color would the new color replace?
I'm guessing here - maybe Redline, as Chevrolet's been putting out so many of them and Torch Red vettes, they must be running out by now =0)

Or Aqua Blur - thus making it follow in UltraViolet's footsteps as a 1-year color, which would be a kind of cool trend to have (and so Black, Silver, Yellow, Red, and Color-o-the-Year are the perpetual choices)
