4:56 road test

Took the SSR to Sacramento and back. I ran a tank of gas through and with the 4:56 gears I averaged 16.8 miles per gallon. Not much of a differance. I was avg 17.5. I kept it at 70 miles per hour which is 2600 rpm. It purred all the way. No whine or extra noise.

My mileage on two 3000 mile plus highway cruises averaged at 20.3 the first time, and 20.5 the second time - there was a bit more 60 mph cruising the second time. The first trip, when I picked up the SSR and drove it home, was straight highway cruising at 75 - 80 mph., with very limited city driving when I pulled off the freeway for food and motels.

I'd say Boosted's numbers are pretty much dead on.
