What a sight to see, 50 SSR's gathered together for a great day. This is probably the largest gathering of SSR's together, other than the factory? We were treated to lunch and gifts at a Chevrolet dealership then invited to a local auto race track to watch the races and take a parade lap prior to the races. If any of you can put an event like this together in your area, DO IT.. I will probably never meet or see this many SSR owners in one location? The great part is 50 owners and no complaints. Speaks volumes on American workmanship and the SSR. Enjoy the pics, more to see at the Pacific Site. :flag :flag :flag

Fred: Thanks for the great flicks... Got up this morning and the first thing I wanted to do was see if there were any flicks on the site or mention in the newspaper here in Sacramento. Nothing in the newspaper but some great shots from you.... The whole day must have been a blast for all the SSR owners. And to have 50 rides of all different configurations at one place must have been mindboggling....

Hope you all had a GREAT day!!!! Sorry we couldn't be there...

I'm sure any raceway will be glad to set up such an event and don't exclude a dealership wanting to take part. This was a full 12 hour event along with California Highway patrol escort from dealer to track. Also when the event happens, be sure to contact a professional photographer to video. Our event was video taped from beginning to end, thank to kwopper planning it and the video is available to all.

I also went to our local paper to see if there was a mention of the event and found nothing. Once again GM missed a golden opportunity to get some priceless coverage to the media. GM should have videoed a segment of the parade lap if nothing else and tossed in their recently running commercials, but of course they did not.

Awesome!!!

OMG! 50 SSR's - What a PRICELESS moment. Events like this make me feel that every dollar spent on my SSR is worth it! The looks on all the owners faces as we pulled off the track was unforgettable. (Last time I had that look was when I took delivery of my Roadster...)

It was such a sight to see that the Monster Garage dude - Jesse James - had to do a drive by to check us out!!!

We have a WINNER!

Nice job Fred! And thanks for the pictures to prove it!
Thanks Buffy,
Wasn't sure if I should post here or only in the Pacific group, but feel an event like this is possible in every State? I encourage everyone to get in contact with a auto race track and run it by them. Irwindale Racetrack did a great job and I know they benefit from such events. The people enjoyed our parade lap and looking up close at all the beautiful SSR's and the many personal touches that have been done to them.
