We received ours on Tuesday and what a blast! "Slingshot yellow" Took it to a car show last night, and people went nuts. Its funny, some people have never heard of an "SSR". I even had people ask if i built it or had it built. Over all great ride, performance and all the attention you could ever want.:cheers

MINE IS HERE!!! FINALLY!!!

MY DREAMCRUISE, MY REDSSRLOADED WAS DELIVERED SUNDAY.
WENT TO WORK THIS MORNING, HOPING THAT THIS WAS THE
WEEK. AND IT IS!!! #469 AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER SAT IN ONE--WHAT A THRILL. SHE NOW SITS
IN THE SHOWROOM FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS FOR ALL TO SEE.

IT WAS DELIVERED WITH 33 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. SOMEONE HAS BEEN ENJOYING IT ALREADY.

RUNNING BOARDS, CARGO NET PKG AND TRAILER HITCH WAS
INSTALLED TODAY. EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW WHY I DIDN'T DRIVE IT HOME TONIGHT. I SAID I'VE BEEN WAITING THREE YEARS FOR THIS TRUCK--THREE DAYS WON'T MATTER.

SSR Covers

Good to hear that so many have arrived. My black vin no. 1324 (1st deposit July 2001) was built Nov. 5 and is due in soon. Does any supplier have SSR car covers available? If Chevy makes one does anyone know the part no.?

California Car Cover list them on their WEB site for the SSR. I have purchased covers form them for several cars and found the fit and quality to be excellant.

Check the site gmpartsdirect.com. They're listing the GM part #15113247. I think that's the one with the logo on it. No picture shown but I've seen it elsewhere. Anybody have one?

Drove my yellow beast home today.
It's pretty quick and handles great too! Chevy did it right!:cheers Now I need a bigger garage. It doesn't fit as well as my 69 ElCamino did.

My SSR is at James Wood Motors in Decatur. It has had a tremendous amount of attention these two days!!! Some people have never heard of or seen an SSR, and the public reaction is clearly a positive one.

The rear window is deep tint, but I plan to tint the side windows also (Las Vegas is good).

I really feel your pain, CRUZNED. I guess they would just have to shoot me if I got the news that you did.

Supposed to be rainy this weekend so I may not bring it home until next week.:jester

Thanks for letting me know where your SSR is so I can see one in person. I'll try to get by to see it. I'll call them before I go to make sure it's still there.
