Question: When I have my 05 6 speed in either 5th or reverse there is a very noticable noise that appears to be a vibration based noise where she shifter is rubbing against something. Do any of you other stick owners have the same issue? I was curious if it is the nature of the beast or something that I should have fixed? Thanks in advance for your response :thumbs

Rob: I have driven a umber of vehicles with the 6-speed Tremc, and it should NOT be making any noise that sounds like a rubbing or vibration. Probably needs just a minor corrective shift linkage adjustment.

mine has the noise... very annoying! at first i thought it was the leather just needed to get worked in a bit. but now i realize there's more to it than that...

Just purchased a silver 6 speed, but I drove three of them at my local dealer. One SSR had a bad higher pitched rattle in the shift lever, a second had it to a lesser degree, and the one I bought did not have the noise at all. Salesman was of course surprised to hear about the noise.... :ssr
