A Chin Spoiler Is Coming!!!!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with Leza from Axiom. I was informed that they approved this new item to be released ahead of schedule. The phase 2 products are not to be released until late this year - but due to the overwhelming requests to have Axiom create this product for the SSR fans - they stepped up to the plate willingly!

The Axiom "Chin Spoiler" is slated to be available in the next month. PrePainted will be an option as well, in the base colors: Redline, Slingshot, Ricochet and Asphalt. (would also love to see flat black). This Prepainted Option will be for a limited time only. ( first group of orders) - because prepainting slows up the production for Axiom. It is an option Axiom has offered only to Fanatics.

A design drawing will be released shortly. I was promised a sneak preview of the drawing because I am having so much fun with my other Axiom product and I guess I have begged and pleaded for this item the loudest. Pricing has not been revealed as of yet, but they will be taking orders for this item late this month. You should forward your interests, so Axiom is confident this product is going to be successfully welcomed to their line up.

My name is already on the list. As soon as I get a drawing I will post it. Stay tuned!!

Thank you AXIOM ---- :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

chin spoiler

Take a look at the 05 Nascar SSR pace truck on www.seriouswheels.com. It has a spoiler added to the lower front facia. Is this the awaited Axiom look... or one of the 50 planned SSR accessories from GM?

I really like the looks of that one. It's just what I've been looking for, Even the color is right. Just wonder how long I'll have to wait for one like it. :flag :flag
Looks good cant wait...What is the ballpark cost going to be? I need to start saving for it.
:ssr Me too.
The secret has been revealed!!

:lol I see bcbear10 beat me to it!! :)

Yes, the highly requested "Nascar" type chin spoiler is to be released early.
I also fell in love with that look!! Wanted it in the very beginning of our project, but had to do what GM wanted first ;) There is sooo much creative room with the SSR - they have to take it one step at a time.

This spoiler will be similar, with a tad bit of a twist and some improvement to be sure they cover all grounds. ;) They are happy to bring something like this for the SSR Enthusiasts!!
This piece will carry the same ease of installation, and quality expected as the rest of these SSR Accessories.

My suggestion would be to go with a Black color finish, (good suggestion BC) for avoidance of road issues. But they will also offer (limited time Fanatics Only) the prepainted option.

Thank You for all your enthusiasm, and requesting that ADS provide you with those things you find, and just have to have!! Thank you for all the PM's. :flag

It is in the early modeling stage, and should be ready in the next month. Design drawings are being refined to nail down the favorite of the bunch. Then they just finish off the modeling and they will be ready to go!!

Phase II is really going to excite you all, if you thought the Chin Spoiler was a fun one!! Some traveling goodies, mechanical items, and more are on the table. BUT those will all remain under wraps!! :flag

You're a real tease, Lesa!

Axiom and GM?

I have been a member of this forum since November of 2004. I do find many of the topics regarding the SSR to be informative. Many things I have not agreed with and move on. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. However, the following statement may offend those of you that have fallen in love with Axiom. The statement made by Axiom that they had to do what GM wanted first before releasing the "chin spoiler"? GM has NO contract with Axiom to produce for the SSR. When I attached the www.seriouswheels website it was to show the spoiler already exisited and it appears that Axiom was merely making slight modifications to a GM design. Many GM personel view this site and speak highly of it. All genuine GM parts are supplied with a GM part#. No disrespect to Axiom is intended. But the threads read as though they have been asked by GM to produce for the SSR?

Several SSRs shown at SEMA were supplied by GM to outside companies, what one of the "suits" called "partnered vehicles" when they were checking out the red flamed SSR with the mini bike outside. I hung around while one of GM's upper management people was showing 20 or so GM suits what GM had been up to - very interesting information.

The intent was to show the custom potential the SSR had - the idea being that if parts are available, the SSR will sell better. It's worked quite well - the availability of aftermarket components is dramatically out of proportion to the number of SSRs manufactured - except wheels, but that's another story, and something that will hopefully change.

Attached are photos of the ones I remember from SEMA - it's quite possible that some of the others at SEMA were also partnered. I believe the Axiom SSR falls into that category. The parts may not be official GM, but their development and introduction was encouraged by GM - am I correct, Lesa?

Not sure why you have a problem with Axiom - there's quite a difference between parts encouraged and/or sanctioned by GM, and official numbered GM parts. I'm glad it's that way - How many years would it take for the Axiom grille bars to make it through the multilayered approval system at GM before we could buy them?

Ford did something very similar with the new Mustang. They had 17 "reworked" Mustangs in their booth at SEMA - Saleen, Rousch, and several others were there.

I know that Rick, who has the copper "Americano" and the owner of the red flamed SSR outside contribute to this forum - maybe they can confirm their SSRs were sanctioned GM partner vehicles.

Who cares. the point is lets get some real cool mods that people will pay for... ;)
OH!!! Thank You Flassh!! :) i was typing, and you beat me. I think yours is better :) Absolutely correct!! GM also reveiws and contributes throughout the project. You show almost all of em - good hunting! American Racing Wheels was another GM sponsored one, which also was carrying the Axiom styling (GM liked that one too)
But I still feel the need to reply

Pherrley - nicely getting the point!!

My apologies upfront for the length, but need to clarify :)

Hey there DOC – someone pee on yer tree??

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but you may not have done your due diligence on this one. You may not want to publicly state that something doesn’t exist, or that a company is falsely describing themselves.

I stated in another thread based on the credible information provided in the forum - that to “my knowledge” as everyone did else, “information had been that there wasn’t an intent to release this item as it is on the Nascar SSR”

First I will recall everything I have always been clear about.
We are a Privatized Automotive Design and Concept Build Group. We build concept vehicles for OEM’s, Brand Developers, and Marketing Groups. We also manufacture our own private accessories. We do not sell GM products, nor do we sell any others.

That said – I think you have a deeper reason for your intense interest as to our arrangement with GM, so let me clarify: When I say “we had to First Develop the Designs chosen by GM” that is factual. Our initial obligation is to complete the design chosen by GM.
How these programs work in a sense:
OEM’s provide a certain amount of vehicles to the Aftermarket Companies to indeed generate Aftermarket Products to increase the enjoyment and personalization of a new model. They review proposals from many aftermarket product companies, these proposals describe all of the products that will be installed on this vehicle, the theme of the vehicle, the New products that will be designed for the vehicle, the exposure planned for the vehicle, and the benefit to GM in the plan to increase awareness of the SSR and the exciting new products that can be used to enhance ones enjoyment of it. You should go to a SEMA event – this is a hands on opportunity to see this in person.

Whichever proposal brings the best and most of these will be provided with a GM SPONSORED vehicle. The focus is on the aftermarket items so that GM can gauge and review the results of the products released and use this information to generate added accessories to their own product line. It is a win for all.

Now, to assist you in finding more Public Information in regards to Axiom’s involvement with GM, and the Aftermarket companies involved in the SSR Enduro I can provide a small blurb of the Press Release and the early released SEMA magazine articles describing these types of contracts. But if you truly want to get factual info you can easily find that by reviewing my profile and following the info provided.

October 04 Media Update
Our agency, DJ&F International, represents many clients in the aftermarket from superchargers to differentials. We've been in business for over 15 years. Our expertise is new product launches.

To get to the point, Axiom Design Solutions is under contract with our client Tractech (producers of the Detroit Locker) and the General Motors Chevrolet division to design and produce saleable parts for the Chevy SSR using our project vehicle "The Detroit Enduro". Axiom, as a new company with years of experience in this kind of work, has done a tremendous job within a very tight time frame. The contract with the corporate clients listed above specifies that any products that result from this project will not be delivered until November 8. 2004 (after the SEMA Show).

When I discovered we were going to be sponsoring styling accesories for an SSR, I already had found this site a year ago, and developed a knowledge of this ride that was tenfold over what I could’ve gained anywhere else. I became a fan of the Fanatics, their enthusiasm for the SSR and began to appreciate it for more than a show project. I became a member, and then a supporting member. We sponsors become the keepers of this vehicle and enjoy it as much as everyone else. As the sponsor for the main cosmetics of the vehicle, we care for it, drive it, show off her talents, see what breaks, fix her and most of all- are given the exclusive opportunity to enjoy all the products available. There for – she is our baby, by way of contract and by way building her into the "Enduro"!! We installed a good portion of the accessories provided, besides our own. Our enjoyment of her grows with time, and her enhancements…..that is GM’s ultimate plan!!

Yes - GM is surely welcoming this site!! We were very enthusiastic with GM from the beginning as to showing them the existence of this forum, and its enthusiasm for their new SSR. We expressed the need for them to visit, and interact in regards to locating their market owners directly.

Im sure you are excited about the product you brought to the forum for all to enjoy, it’s a great way to contribute! But geeze, its not the only option out there, enjoy all there is to offer. The more the better – everyone has fun! :flag

That was perfectly worded Leza. :thumbs
You did us all proud, Leza. Keep up the good work. If it was not for all the great add-on I have purchased from you and will continue to purchase, my truck would have been used as a trade in weeks ago. :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

You are correct P/P. There is very few options on the market for us to choose from. Axiom has stepped up to the plate and taken all the risks with their development for the SSR. Like I said earleir, if it was not for them I think the truck might be gone. It was purchased as a toy and like any other toy you want to have fun with it. Cant do much to most of my other toys except add radar detectorsor possibly and exhaust system here and there. Even a fron plate can cost you big on trades so I enjoy having something like this to tinker with. It is a great ride for the money.

Marc :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

ps. after the chin spoiler you might want to consider the rear spoiler. What a difference it makes to the lines of the truck and the paint match was fantastic.
The Axiom "Chin Spoiler" is slated to be available in the next month. PrePainted will be an option as well, in the base colors: Redline, Slingshot, Ricochet and Asphalt. What About Ultra Violet???
Yes Flassh, mine is a GM partner vehicle . Well put Leza and Flassh.
