Our 04 has reached almost 4K mi, the opt gauges crapped out at 3500, and now the driver door doesn't want to open from the inside. When it went in for that, a couple days ago, my wife mentioned that the CD/clock went on and off and the seat was adjusting itself. Well, door parts are on order, and the Body Control Module fried itself, ordered and replaced, but the air bag light now stays on. Well, I got it back because it's supposed to be in a 4th parade, and the dealership, on it's own, washed and waxed it. That was nice. And gauges replaced. Now if the door parts would come in.

Door Problem

The door problem will require the panel to be changed.

My dealer change both panels to the new design on my '04. Only the drivers side failed but they agreed to changed both sides to match. I requested that both be changed and they did not resist the request. This makes me believe there is a known design problem with the openning mechanism.

The failure of the mechanism is a plastic support built into the door panel.
