Here are pictures from the Alberta Canada SSR Picnic held yesterday at a Private Estate at Sylvan Lake Alberta. The Weatherman cooperated with no rain, even though it was broken cloud. A Great Time was had by All! 41 Trucks!

I was curious on how many Canadians are going to be able to make the International.

As to the Alberta gathering, well done! 41 trucks is excellent attendance. I didn't know there was that many SSR's in Alberta.

Not sure we could have got through the B.C. forest fires to even get to Sylvan. Maybe next time ...

It appears that no one from Canada will be in attendance. The only two that actually made reservations, paid for registrations and events cancelled yesterday due to our Homeland Security denying non-essential travel into the United States from Canada.

However, I am extremely happy to see such a larger gathering of Fanatics in western Canada! Hopefully someone in the Great Lakes Region will do something like this as well! You all deserve to "Have Fun In 21'!" like the rest of us down here in the States!

We were going to take a month to drive up through Wyoming, Montana and then through Canada and spend a couple of weeks in Alaska in our GX. That got canceled.

It great you all got together. We had a great time in SoDak.

Maybe next year you can have a "local" one in Canada and we can come up that way. We love Sylvan lake in the USA and in Canada.

There’s probably a hundred in Alberta , hell there’s probably 50 in just the Edmonton area alone !

The land border into Canada is now open to fully vaccinated visitors from the USA so there is no reason to cancel your planned trip here. (Political comments deleted) Our tickets to fly south for the winter are already purchased.

Yes, but two things.
1> With the current environment we would be scarred to be stranded if the border closes again.
2> It is too late in the year to do it and we are going to Cincinnati in September.

In another year we will be 70. Perhaps too old to do the rooftop camping trip.
