but now I see my SSR has a Driver Information Center and I have to wonder... WHAT idiot came up with THAT acronym?

Actually "DIC" won out over two other proposals that just missed final approval:

Truck Information Terminal and
Automobile System Status.

I guess we should be thankful that our trucks have a "DIC" and not a, well, nevermind! :lol :lol :lol
