:( I have read in several reviews in magazines that the SSR roof leaks pretty badly, and even "Morty's" posts refer to this problem. Has anyone who has taken possession of their SSR experienced leaks yet? Have they resolved this problem at the plant yet or will we be doomed to a 45K vehicle with a leaky roof. For what we are paying, it seems that releasing these products before this prob. is solved is taboo. I hope they fix it before mine is delivered in Dec.

Ed,
Have you heard any updates since your post? We don't get much rain here in Las Vegas, but hopefully there's been some remediation to avoid the consequences of a leaky hardtop. Do you recall which magazine made reference to this issue?

My yellow '03 SSR is to be on the line in November, so maybe I'll have it before the holidays.

Thanks,
Steve S.

It was either Motor Trend or Motor World. Have ditched all those old mags recently though. No input from Morty on it just yet. Mine has a build date of Nov. also.

I believe that FUZZY had a problem and fixed it himself. Maybe he can give you some helpful advice.

a trio of leaky tubs

I own a '97 Sonoma, an '01 PT Cruiser, and an '04 SSR. The SSR, being a drop top, is the only auto I own that I would expect to leak. Not so, it seems, as ALL three of these have leak issues. In certain conditions, the Sonoma will take on inches of water in the left floorboard, and we never have been able to find the site of water entry. I just don't worry about it anymore since none of the leaks seems to touch anything electrical.

I'm still waiting to hear what they have done to fix mine. The dealership has both fixes that Fuzzy and cruzned posted. :) As of tomorrow it will be in the shop for eight days. I expected a call today...no word. I will be calling tomorrow.

Mine leaked under the passenger dash and along the rear seals as a few of you have already stated. Heavy downpours caused the problem with the passenger side leaking, as in light rainstorms I didn't have a problem. I printed off the fixes that both gentlemen have posted and took it to my dealership. They have been eager to trace down the problem. I am just hoping they fixed them (fingers crossed).

Here is the link to my thread with pics and fix tips

I expected more of the leak issues to start surfacing and hopefully we can get a fix once and for all!!!
Good Luck Gentleman.....we are all in the same boat....(a leaking one) :(
