i purchased the trim kit and had it painted to match my black over red so when i removed the cover the weather strips would be covered. it has been my experience that the instructions that come with the various options that are avaiable for our ssr's are terrible the are very hard to see or read! the cover up trim pieces fit pretty well. i found that it's too big a pain unless you have a lot of extra hands to help with the on and off. the reason i removed the cover in the first place was to use the car in the homecoming parade, it was perfect for that.

I drove mine to a car cruise this summer with the tonneau removed, but I had the top up so I didn't notice any extra noise. Aaaahhhh. Homecoming parades. Mine has been in two this fall. It really makes a hit with the spectators.
