My bride and I had beakfast with C1Trob this morning and we are trying to get a little winter activity started in Phoenix. Two very simple get-togethers are now targeted for September to see what we can start.

:ssr September 10th - Pavillions Car Show :ssr
McDonald's Parking Lot, Loop 101 and Indian Bend
5:00 to 5:30 gathering and parking.
Informal gathering of 100+ cars that usually breaks up around 9:00 or so.

7:30 gathering at Arizona Mills Krispy Kreme parking lot (for coffee & donuts to hold you over)
8:00 Caravan Departure for Rock Springs Cafe near New River on I-17

Saturdays at the Safeway Center 20713 N 83rd AVE. North of Union Hills. It's actually at 83rd Ave and Lake Plesant Road.

People show up as early as 4:00 to get their spot. I've been going about 5:30 lately and the crowds show up as soon as it gets dark. I don't think they like the heat :reddevil

I would but I will be at a vintage trailer (and car) show in cottonwood http://www.azroundup.net/ . Drive a little further and check it out.

We are still considering the Rock Springs run ............ so don't give up on us.. I am heading out to Youngs Farm in Prescott/ Dewey for some fresh sweet corn early tomorrow. Juction 69 + 169. We will then go to the old Cherry Hill Road / AZ Wine Country / exit on I-17 to Campe Verde and go thru Camp Verde to Rt 260 then on to Route 87 Strawberry then Pine and on to Payson and stop at the casino and on to the Saguaro Lake exit or to Phoenix

:thumbs The breakfast run from Arizona Mills to Rock Springs is still on. :thumbs We are planning to continue to the Vintage Trailer show in Cottonwood to show our support for SSRJim and his yellow teardrop. Our intention is to make the return trip through Jerome (lunch there) and Prescott.

Depatrure from K/K @ Arizona Mills is still planned for 08:00 after tanking up on coffee.

You can expect to see a few, very supportive, members in Cottonwood Saturday. I expect we will be there between 11:00 and 12:00. :thumbs I think we should be able to find you. :lol

We are meeting at Krispy Kremes on the East side of Arizona Mills parking lot. Best access is off of Priest, or you can take Baseline into the parking area and wind your way around to the east side. We plan to depart at 08:00 sharp.

Rock Springs Cafe is on the West side of I-17, near New River. Since it is about a 1 hour drive from Arizona Mills, I expect to be sitting down for breakfast about 9:15 or 9:20.

Rock Springs Brunch Run

What an extremly awesome group of SSRs and folks to enjoy a Saturday morning ride with. :thumbs

Excellent ride, breakfast and company to share it with.
Thanks to all who attended. Hoping for more in the future.

October 22, will head us towards Tortilla Flat, in the Superstition Mountains.
We'll firm up a place to meet, somewhere near the Superstition Springs Mall area.
Caravan :ssr :ssr :ssr from there, out AZ State Rte. # 88 towards Roosevelt Lake and stop for a Breakfast / Brunch at Tortilla Flat.

This is a great Mountatin Road with switchbacks, and straights, that should challenge all of our Safe Driving Skills. Fantastic Restuarant for us to try, and beautiful sights along the way.

Breakfast Run to Rock Springs

Nice turnout today. :thumbs

We had seven SSRs show up this morning. :yesnod AZblonde (Susan) had committments that kept her from makng the run with us, but she showed up to meet everybody. Wecome aboard Susan. :seeya Six SSRs went to Rock springs for breakfast... good food, GREAT company. A small contingent went on to the Vintage trailer event in Cottonwood and met up with SSRJim and his matching yellow teardrop. More great people. :thumbs

Great first get-together. I see that Rob is already planning the next "drive to the food" tour. Can't wait to get together with this bunch again.
