My Aux Gauges were installed when I bought my SSR. The ash tray doesn't clear. I want to take the gauges out and remove additional padding. How do the gauges attach to the bracket? What's the procedure to remove the Gauges without breaking something?

Its is pretty simple, pry up carefully as there is to pressure pins that hold it in place. The only thing that you will risk damaging is the console pait witht he gauges go to a point at the front closest tot he seats. Then is a metal bracket that is pressure fit under the front of the console edge and 1 bold at under the dash. Don't worry the gauges will be out before you remove the plate. Be carfull not to touch anything on the bottom of the cauges as the print board for the guages is open and is easy to short. Hope this helps, I put mine in and there is about a 1" batting material under the carpet that you will have to trim out from under whre the plate bracket sits. Be careful not to tear or cut the carpet anymore or you will risk seeing it once you re-install every thing.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Pulled the gauges out, removed the plate. Pull out foam and some pad. Now the ash tray opens up and barely touches the center gauge.
