I have had better luck contacting Axiom by e-mail. Last response was just before the weekend. If I remember right, they are running the first production batch of spoilers this week now that the bugs have been worked out of the original molds.
Seems like we may see spoilers in the near future..

Lesa told me that this Tuesday, the first batch would be in and going to get painted. I sure do hope they fit! It has been a very long wait, but I anticipated that. As long as the quality is there, I don't mind the wait. Hope you get your spoiler issue resolved too. Perhaps you should let Lesa know that the one grill bar did not fit and send a digital picture to confirm it. :thumbs

Bear,

As you can see, nobody has "raked you over the coals" because you stated your concerns, with detailed examples. In the past, member were verbally ATTACKED in front of the forum members and that's what we won't tolerate. You were close with "Most turn out to be false", but you said it with acceptable language.

We ALL have issues with certain vendors (including GM), but we have a couple of choices:

  • Call, write, e-mail, wire, etc. what ever it takes to get an answer.
  • Don't do business with that vendor

Hope you both can get this resolved to both of your satisfactions.

Do me a favor though, if you do, please remember to post that too, OK? We need to hear the good with the bad.

I was reading your post again Bear, and I thought about a part I had installed on another vehicle with double sided tape that came off in the past. I did not prep the area properly, and that zaino we love so much, resisted the adhesiveness of the tape. You need to use a degreasser or surface prep solution and completely remove any wax or polish from the area to be adhered to. Just thought this might have been the case with yours, but even still, I would think a spoiler would have at least two bolts hoding it on too. Good luck. :thumbs

chin spoiler

I just received an e-mail from Lesa and was told that they are going to start shipping non-painted chin spoilers on Friday or Saturday. :thumbs

I got the same email. I think this should be a good product that combines the double sided tape with the existing bolts on the front fascia. Looks like mine should be here early next week, just in time for our trip! Lesa got back to me right away when I emailed her. She usually does. :thumbs

P/P,

Got my reply from Lesa yesterday afternoon. Said the first ones would be shipped out Friday or Saturday. So I should have mine by Monday or Tuesday. Will let everyone know as soon as it arrives.

Lesa / Axiom,

Thanks for getting this into production.

Received the same E-mail and spoke with Lesa the other evening. As I told her, I will believe it when I see it or receive a tracking #. This is the same song with a different product. Hopefully I will be proven wrong!!!!!

Going Going Gone!

Most chin spoilers that are effective are used on track vehicle's, watch out for the first DIP or DRIVEWAY your spoiler will be gone :mad

No Sir! The actual added piece only comes below 2", to accomodate the option to lowered vehicles. And considering it is held in place with a total of 8 screws using the existing fascia mounts - the whole fascia would have to come off with it :lol

6 underneath, 1 on each side, and some adhesive for good measure - it will not budge! its a very neat piece, appears to add a much lower look, but physically does not.

Also its mounted points, structure and composite will add some strength up front and tighten up/stabilize that common SSR wobble :thumbs

I disagree !

ALL of my sports cars have some type of factory spoilers which are alot closer to the ground then the SSR could ever be. To date, the only damage I have ever done was in a parking lot when I pulled in slowley and got myself too close to the curb. I am painting the SSR spoiler (if I ever arrives ) in black instead of the Slingshot Yellow. First of all I think it would look better and second should I touch a curb or get a rock chip it will be very easy to touch it up with some black spray paint. On the darker color trucks I believe they would look better in the truck color.

My 2.5 cents. Now if only they would ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Axiom, when adding the chin spoiler, do I have to remove the air dam that comes stock on the SSR? Does the spoiler actually help route more air up over the radiator? I've been on the web site but no pictures yet... when will you have one posted to see?
