Trying to replace actuator for bed lid release, did cable clip tabs to release cables, took tenson off cables but couldn't get them to lift out. Any suggestions ? don't want to break anything. Got new actuator off ebay, connector from Jetta at junk yard.

The cable attaches to the actuator arms and are secured to a "nail head" type pivot. You are almost There ! A little patience and wiggling around should allow you to remove the cable end. Try to relieve as much of the cable tension and twist so that you can lift off. It's pretty much a slip fit, so take your time.
It's the 2 white/silver studs dead center in the picture.

Here's the connector. Lift the Tab on the harness end Over that "tooth" and pull apart. Then follow Dictator & EDs instructions.
