Easier to type than say without a tear, or downright crying! I swore I would never do this, but there is a car I really want and three months from now I could do it w/o losing my Kate. Right now, it is one or the other and sadly, leaning towards the other, which is on auction and price increasing as I type.
I am trying to sort it out financially, but struggling with it.
Three months from now I could keep both, need to adjust my garage a bit to keep all safe.

Cars & Women! - Jeez!

Kate - Babied, winter heated stored, 2006 Redline FPR 6sp 4:56 gears, about 45k miles - perfect as can be.
Total full load but not chrome package - body colour package, carpet cargo, hard bins - tucked boards, shortened shifter. 2 sets of Lonnies tail lights (52 Blue Dots 61 Caddie Bullets

I might ask my friend Paul from NFwy Hyundai if he would be my philanthropist to hold this car until I can adjust my finances, but for now - Kate - $60k

Hey Art, it won't be without a struggle.
I hope I can sort it out but I need an insert of funds, probably 3 months away.
I love Kate, and trying to sort how to do all of this.

Trust me, I still believe I can figure this out - Kate will not leave my loving hands easily

I m an awful risk, bank opinion.Lots of assets, no income to support any loan.
They won't trust I will risk everything for one thing, that I will make sure all I love are looked after, including my sons.

The darn banks hate risk or lack of cash flow. Down here in the lower 48 cash flow if you are retired has gotten far harder the last couple of years. We are still trying to find out what has changed. Oh well.

IMO. If it is something you really want go for it. About anything I have is for sale if the price is right. If you can get the asking price, I certainly would do it. As HUAW discovered when he and Bambi wrecked his. If you have patience and keep looking, then what you really want will come by or you will die first.

My bank took away my credit card because I used it as a debit card and didn't "Charge" anything for years. I never even noticed it until I went to rent a car one day. The nicest people in the world suddenly treated me like a criminal trying to steal a car. They wanted a sizeable cash deposit, so I reached in my pocked and pulled out more than enough to cover what they wanted, then they wanted me to go home and get a Utility Bill to prove I really live where my drivers license says I live. I laughed...

I realized 40 years ago that most banks are against you and it is very hard to barrow money if you are old and everything has a fee. We have switched to credit unions many years ago. They are member owned and usually very liberal with lending money with or without collateral. In fact they usually offer you more money then is reasonable to pay back. Might look into them.

Here is my 02 cents Dale.
As a kiddo myself, I would bring in all the kiddos for a family forum.
Tell them of your plans and desires to keep and add a new car for yourself. Who's in????
In the end, we cannot take anything with us! And it is better to give now, then have regrets and give to us somehow when we are no longer around.
Better to be in bondage to the kiddos than a bank.
P.S-
I cannot emphasize this loud enough!!!! READ THE FINEPRINT!!!!
Some kiddos are downright Incorrigible!

I understand the logic to want them to be better off but, I'm guessing the kiddos are 40-50 yrs of age and the nephews are in between their late teens and early 30's. If they are relying on what you leave than it is evident that $$$ won't fix it.
(They have been taught to fish hopefully, Not not take the last Beer 🍺 from the fridge)
Here's hoping with you Kiddo. From 1 Kiddo to the Next.

Is that a misprint, '64 M6? First generation of the 6 Series began with 633CSI in 1982. M635CSI introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983, the first M6s. I have been around these cars since 1978, I would not trade an SSR for one, IMHO. The only plus I can think of is they may be easier to have serviced and repaired as lots of techs advertise the ability to do so, not so many for the SSR. BMW Ag. is good about availability of special parts for their Heritage models, not so GM.

A little off topic. I'm not entirely sure if its been mentioned in other posts.

But, with regards to the Perma-Grin. (It's Contagious)

I usually notice others (spectators) with a Perma- Grin as I'm driving by.
It's feels good to make others smile and feel happy for a brief moment as I drive passed them or near them.
