my vehicle came with "cargo compartment trim w/wood" and "body colored accent package w/ runningboards"

my question is I only got 7 silver strips in the cargo area and I thought it came with wood colored strips also. The dealer said No it only comes with one extra silver colored strip that it was missing and that they will get this for me from their parts dept.

Who's right?

My '04 has wood colored, with 2 extra to use when/if saddle boxes are removed.

Strips

Normally, with the carpet package, it comes with red oak strips (7 velcro held inside, 2rail outside are removable for the eyelets which come with the net package or the storage containers. Unless they changed the accessory packages for the '05, you only get one set of strips. I sold my wood set and bought the silver to match the exterior color.

Just got a set of the silver strips - there should be 9 - 7 velcroed to attach to the carpeted bed, and two with a lower groove to slide into the saddlebag mounting strips.

They should look exactly like the wood strips. Sounds like your dealer owes you the two outer strips with the slide-in groove.

I also think he's keeping the wood strips to resell, instead of including it with your ssr. Check the 05 brochure - the info on the body color accent package indicates you still get the wood strips as well.

My wifes 04 Red came with wood. My 05 Yellow came with wood and silver. Should the silver have been Yellow?

The 05 Yellow also had Black running boards instead of Yellow. When I called Chevrolet thay said they built and shipped it with Yellow running boards.

The dealer is not willing to change them.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO??????

I'am going to call the dealer and see what they say , then call GM if they don't cough up my wood strips :mad

None of the SSR come with these items installed, they are dealer installed before you pick it up. They installed my saddle bags and "tossed" the extra strips (wood) I was not happy and they swiped two out of another. Let them know that you know what is going on and Give GM a call. :boxing

Thanks for all your replys, Dealer called me today and is ordering me the 9 wood colored strips that I should have gotten .No questions asked, and not admitting that some hoky poky was going on

Your SSR should have yellow runnin boards and yellow bed strips if you got the colorpkg with runnin boards. with the oak strips also. only Black has the silver strips with color pkg. guess gm did not like black on black there, but it is all right in the cab. :seeya :flag
