I have a colgan on mine as well. I have purchased bras for other of my vehicles and can tell you that I am impressed with the quality of the one that I recently purchased for my 04 SSR. Believe me, this will save you a tremendous amount of front end damage.

I also have the colagan, it works great, you can also get the mirror covers from them, their web site is colagancustom.com. I have used mine for several long trips with no damage. One time I heard a loud rock hit my front end, it protected it from the chip and possible dent.

As you can tell, those of us that have used bras on our front ends also recommend using them on the mirrors. They really do an awesome job of protecting your investment! :thumbs

I clicked on their CONTACT US and sent an email asking if they could use the SSR pattern, but cut it from the Corvette material matching the yellow on my '05 Slingshot SSR. Even if the yellow isn't an exact match I thought it would look really good. They said they couldn't do that...gave me a lame excuse about re-developing the pattern, or something like that. Have you looked into getting a yellow one made by anyone else? Joe

My vehicle has the PR1314 front end two piece original bra and my mirrors have the MC924 original finish mirror bra on them. I was afraid that the carbon fiber look would clash with the retro styling of the SSR... One mans opinion :thumbs

On an airplane the very modern carbon fiber look would be awesome :) On a retro style car the clean leather look enhances the look of the vehicle where I strongly doubt the carbon fiber look adds a thing!

Thanks for the info guys :), just finished ordering one from Colgan Custom. We are planning a long road trip this August and thought a bit more protection for the :ssr was needed.

:seeya

P.S. Got the mirror covers as well :thumbs

Invisible

I just went and watched an invisible bra applied. It was not a 3M film (which can yellow) but another brand that I cannot recall but I will find out and repost after my '05 SSR is done next week.

The process is like window film except that it is removable with no paint damage.

It is barely noticeable, but there is a line that you can feel and see (if you look real closely)

This vehicle being done was black in color, my SSR is Red so I am sure the line will e easier to detect visually.

The firm cuts their own film and can customize the job.
They are in Austin, TX on the south side if anybody in this neck of the woods is interested.
