Brake Fluid

How often should one change the brake fluid? The guys with the corvettes at the autocross events tell me to do it once a year. Does that sound right?

I've added brake fluid before, ED, but never changed it. The only time I know you would have to change it is if it is contaminated or it got so hot it boiled which ruins it.
I agree with living2be,

Unless you really boil the fluid, or get it contaminated, every 2 to 3 years will be sufficient. Make sure that you choose someone who can bleed and purge brake fluid with ABS. - It's not just drain and pump up the brakes anymore.

Just looking over my Goodwrench Maintenance Schedule and I can't find replace brake fluid anywhere.

Now don't forget, your Corvette (read that RACING) friends, probably abuse the brakes more than average. And if you choose to keep autocrossing, then maybe you should listen to them a little closer.

Anyway, my $0.02 worth.....

Have fun with it!
Hey Buffy....just noticed your moving SSR at the bottom of your thread.....I like the headlight grill you put on the tailgate! Maybe our friends at GM will notice!

Thanks living2be,

But, that was an animated gif that I found on the internet that was based on the concept car. I kinda like the "rear spear" too!

And since I have a yelow one, it just fit my signature line perfectly.
