I'd say ya don't need to go for any discount deals on Duck Boat Rides on the lake as likely won't get too many takers.:surprise:

The Throwedrolls.com is Lamberts Café in Springfield MO. I almost always stop here when I am going through the area. They are known for their rolls and throwing them to you as they move around the restaurant with fresh hot rolls. They also have what they call pass arounds. These are sides that they bring around and give you in addition to your sides with your meal. They are very good at handling large groups but one neat thing I learned is if you are by your self they will move you through quickly and ahead of the groups.

Besides the good food that always makes me stop in, is the service from their staff. The people are always polite, friendly and take good care of you.

There is also a Rainbow Trout hatchery located in Branson, that is pretty interesting. Conservation from fingerlings too adults who are then released in the river or shipped other locations. Just a thought

Outstanding restaurant. We always stop at Lambert's in Foley Alabama when going to Gulf Shores. If you go away hungry it's your fault.

We have been at two of the Lamberts. Springfield and Sikeston, MO. Sikeston was the best. Smaller and servers were great. We asked what happens to the rolls that don't get caught. They said that those were tomorrows bread pudding. LOL...nobody dropped a roll that day. Food was the very best at both places...Looking forward to going back to Lamberts at Springfield, on the way to Branson.

This part of the country should have some good bluegrass music and nightclubs. Any suggestions on those areas??

For those who will be in Branson prior to the start of the Rally, I want to mention a great place for Sunday brunch. It is one of the very best and is located at College of the Ozarks, in the Dobyns Dining Room in the Keeter Center. The hours are Sunday, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Reservations are recommended. For parties of 4 or less, reservations may be made at 10 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 1:45 p.m. For parties of 5 or more, reservation times available are 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. The cost is $28 per person, excluding drinks.

Reservations may be made by phone at 417-690-2146, or online at www.keetercenter.edu. The address is 1 Opportunity Avenue, Point Lookout, Missouri 65726.

The basis of College of the Ozarks is a work education program where the students work 15 hours a week at campus workstations for the cost of their education. They graduate debt-free. The campus is a beautiful setting in the Branson area. Dining is a farm-to-table experience.
