The Last American Whaling Ship

On our way back from Ottawa, ON, CANADA sailing and I are going to stop in Vermont to visit family Sunday night and then on Monday we are going to Boston to visit the Charles W. Morgan, The last American Whaling Ship (normally docked and displayed at Mystic Seaport, CT). We thought it might be fun if some other SSR Fanatics came along to Boston. We are aiming for Noon arrival at the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Update on fuel

You can get gas in Calabogie at Munford's, just down the road at the corner of 508 and 511. Their Premium gas is 94 octane (because of the nearby Calabogie race track).

Munfords doesnt sell high octane any more
We can get 94 octane at the track
and you can get 91 octane in 2-3 locations in arnprior

We will be leaving the hotel at 4:30 sharp on July 17 to travel to the track
For those coming a little later the directions are above and you are welcome to meet us over there.
Depending how you come into calabogie you may come right by it

Leaving Niagara Thurs. around 7 am. Meeting up with 2 other trucks east of Toronto, then taking the scenic route. Meeting another truck in Bancroft for lunch, and then on to Calabogie. Send me a pm if you are interested in joining us.

Hey Reb. We are meeting Denzie & Krazy Ed at the Bowmanville Holiday Inn at 9-9.30 am thurs. Driving the back way to Bancroft for lunch and meeting Wayne (waytrucks) and mikes ( Mike & Corrie) there. Then on to Calabogie the scenic way. You are welcome to join us. I will get janet to text Brenda in the morning.

Bob A, Jr. Long Distace Memorial Award

Was awarded at the dinner tonight at the Ottawa SSR Rally 2014 to SendIt2Al (Al & Sony Pileggi) of Athens, GA who drove 1191 miles to attend the Rally at the Calabogie Peaks Resort outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately, the award is sitting at my home because of miscommunication and I will be sending it to Al as soon as I get home. At that time he will post a picture on the Rally Thread showing it on his :yellow:
Congratulations to Al and Sonya for joining the small family of Fanatics who have had the privilege of proudly displaying this memorial award on their SSR.
