Can't manually latch both lid latches. One on pass. side will not latch manually. drivers side manually locked, bed light works actuator releases. Cant not get pass. side to lock manually to adjust cable. So back to releasted tension both cables to start over ,Still can't get pass lid latch to manually lock. It hasn't worked since I got R .Any Ideas ?:confused
Is the locking pawl present and operating properly on the rh (passenger) side latch? We recently had an R here break the lh latch pawl after putting on new struts. If the latch pawl is present and still attached properly to the latch, can you take a screwdriver and push the pawl down and make it latch?
Could be the cable is adjusted too tight (short) or a bad latch. Remove the latch and disconnect the cable at the latch. See if latch operates properly without cable attached.
Thanks for pointing me in right direction, latch stuck at cable connection and I had cable routed wrong out of side of box. Grease and adjust ,works great both release at same time.:cheer:
Don't forget that it's like a bicycle hand brake. Both ends of the cable housing Have to be Anchored Down for the inside cable to work properly. Check both ends first. Glad you got it fixed.
