The GM specialist was out today looking at my long list of issues with my SSR.
One I added this last week was the cargo bed cover was failing to lift to its fully opened position after pushing the button on the key fob. The cover would pop up a small amount making it difficult to get your fingers/hand under it to open the cover to its fully open position.
The GM specialist stated "that's within normal operating specs". :nono
The service manager stated (because the GM specialist left without talking to me) that if the tailgate was open the cover would lift to its fully open position. I then reminded him that you don't use it that way. :mad
The tip I found is that if you clean the seal on the back of the cargo cover lid (that contacts the tailgate) and apply some silicon lubricant (type you use on rubber seals for windows) the cargo cover will lift to its fully open position again when you open it with the key fob.
Take that you GM specialist (operating normally my :bs )
