Cherry Blossom Cruise

Fellow SSR fanatics,

I am planning a cherry blossom cruise tentatively for April 9th at 11:00 a.m. We could meet at the Kenwood neighborhood of Bethesda, Maryland, which has spectacular blossoms overarching each street. After cruising around the subdivision, there would be time for a photo-op and possibly a picnic lunch before driving to the Tidal Basin for one or two passes before going our separate ways. I’m open to suggestions as to alternate date, time, etc.

I have a project with the DC charter schools on Saturday. It might go all day.

Big Jim: We would love to do that. I have seen the cherry blossoms many times, but this is a busy weekend for us. Got to do the honey do's, power wash the deck, clean house, etc. Also trying to master those auto air colors on my helmet and other materials. Take pictures. I am sure they will be spectacular!!! Try to get some with the Jefferson memorial in the background. There are so many possibilities up there during this time of year! Looking forward to seeing you and your wife in VB when we do the show. Take care, Ed and Kris

Any Decision?

Has anyone made a decision on which day Saturday or Sunday?
We have to keep in touch so we show up on the same day guys!!!!! :confused

My wife and I will be coming off of spring break and will be unable to come. Sure wish we could but the kids come first. :seeya

Date is set for April 10th Saturday. Don't have a time yet? The wife and I are planning a Recon to the tidal basin and kenwood area.............will keep yall informed!

Come On Ssr Guys!!!

There has to more of you guys out there who are close by enough to show up in Kenwood, Maryland on Saturday April 9th!!!
Let's show off the catrucks, take some pictures and draw a crowd!!!!
(yes, I called it a catruck) If you think about it, it's a cross between a car and a truck!!!
It really deserves a catagory all it's own!!!!
So come on how many other SSR owners can show up???

I Have To Go !!!

I have to go, because my SSR won't make it to Kenwood with only it's passenger
( An SSR's Wife ). It needs a driver also! :seeya

I in no way think my SSR is a car!!! In fact I think it annoys people when they come up and say "nice car" and I reply it's a nice truck! It is in a class all to itself but this is just my opinion.

I politely tell them it is not a car. Them they usually look dumbfounded. That makes me laugh inside. :lol :flag :seeya

I Never Said It Was A Car !!!!

:glol I never said it was a car!!! But I have a total of 6 vehicles, some cars and some trucks, and when I drive the SSR, It is not like driving a truck and it is not like driving a car so I call it the CATRUCK !!!!! That's my opinion, and since I am the women of my house, what I say GOES!!! :lol

Final Notice Cherry Blossom Cruise Info !!!!

Fellow SSRs,

Meet up at the IKEA parking lot in Beltsville off I-495/Rte.1 at 11 a.m.
We will then cruise to the Kenwood neighborhood of Chevy Chase before heading to the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC, and winding up at Haines Point.
