I am going to install the Dynatech SuperMaxx headers and hi flow cats on my 2005 SSR. I am also going to install a Corsa cat-back exhaust system. However, I can't decide on the SPORT version or the TOURING version.

I want it to have a nice little rumble at idle and I want it to bark when I punch it. But I do not want it to sound like a 68 Nova with no muffler or to wake the neighbors in the morning as I drive down the road. I also want to be able to enjoy the Bose radio without too much rumble in my head. But I do want to hear some roar.

Any advice would help.

:confused

Exhausted

Wel Matjow,

I can't advise you on the Corsa System, but I've got An 03 that I installed the Dynatech Headers and cats on.I also used the Magnaflow cat back muffler and pipes.
This system is awsome.I can cruise quietly or get on it and make some real noise.
If you want a kick in the pants,Get yourself a Crane Cams power tuner and have some fun!

Hey 53...
Your pix were the ones which convinced me to commit to Dynatechs' build. Have a local garage going to install them upon arrival. All I need is the hardware.

Yea Matjow,
The difference is unbelievable. An LS1 mechanic told me that these motors would wake up if you let them breathe a bit and he was right. It is nice and quiet just easing around but, when you open her up, all hell breaks loose!

53,
Haven't decided on the cats yet. Wanna hear the headers first. Am pretty sure I won't go flowmaster, but some good choices are out there for cats.

How much HP and Tq increase with the cats added on?? Am waiting to see what Vararam comes out with for ram air. Don't like the K&N look...looks like a cobb job

Still undecided about which microtuner to enlist. Most sound like good choices, but not sure I want to step up to the premium gas line either, which would be required. Decisions, decisions

That's where I am.
