We will meet at Farmer Boys rest. on Haven rd. (60/15) just north. (near Ontario Airport)

Meet time will be 10 30ish.(is this okey?) we will say hello, take pictures, eat breakfast/lunch, take more pictures, and show off our assets!!
Our journey is to Palm Springs, our destination.
There is a car show will be awaiting us at the parking lot of the New Spa Hotel Casino. The car show begins at 4 pm. There is a donation( To Desert Cancer Center) of $5.00 for entry of our cars.

We have not set the course of our travels. I would like some feed back.
we can take just 60 e to P. S. 80 min drive with few stops or.......... :grouphug

I hope many of you in So. Cal. will join this fun event.

Now that everyone is back from long holidays we need to catch up on all the threads .... and mmmmyyy there are a lot to catch up.. With more and more SSR owners I guess we have more and more questions and comments...

Planting a seed...

Hope you all have fun - I was going to try to come down from Kingsburg - but too many activities in town this weekend - local parade - etc...

BUT, since so many SoCal'ers are looking at this thread - I thought I'd mention an event in April that I'd like to see as many SSR's attend as possible.

I'll verify the date - but plan on the 3rd weekend in April. In conjunction with the Kingsburg car show (a saturday) - I'd like to try to pull off the 1st annual "Tour of the Giants" - a rod-run (roadster-run?) thru the Giant Sequioas. My plan is to attend the Car show on Saturday (there is also a Fri night cruise) and then do the drive on Sunday...

Out of Kingsburg on Hwy 201 to Hwy 198 - thru Three Rivers and on up to Sequoia Nat Park - via the Generals Highway. Over to Kings Canyon and back down into the Valley via Hwy 180...

Northern California SSR's are planning to attend - so we could get a pretty good mass of SSR's if you folks in SoCal can make it up!

Please keep this in mind - I'll post more later!!!

Palm Springs Cruisin' Association has a cruise night the 1st Saturday of every month from 4-8pm at the Spa Resort Casino, 401 E. Amado At The Corner Of Amado And Calle Encilia, In Downtown Palm Springs. We have on display over 120 classic, muscle, hot rods, street rods, Corvettes, customs, antiques, restored and original collectable cars.

They have a local show Parking map on the site below. Its in the "New Cruise Location" page.

Palm Springs Cruise

Hi all, We had a pretty good turnout for our cruise to Palm Springs today. We had 10 SSR's meet at the Farmer Boy's. We hung out there for a couple hours, got acquainted, had lunch and then 6 of us continued on out to Palm Springs for the Palm Springs Car Show at the Spa Casino. Saharajohn won the Sponsor's Trophy. Fred Edick and I picked up a few raffle prizes. All in all I believe it turned out pretty well. We will definitely do this again and hope for a bigger turnout next time. I will try to get some pics posted tomorrow.
