The cylinder for the hydraulic fluid for the top(this is what mechanic is saying) is cracked. Can’t find a new one & GM doesn’t make this part anymore.
Any ideas in where to search?

IT may not be cracked. The pumps get hot when the top is run up and down several times and melts a ridge in the reservoir under the clamp. The ridge can be shaved down and smoothed with a knife and fine sand paper and reinstalled. I have fixed four of them like that. Ask the tech to look at it closely. If you do replace it anyway please save the old one.

You can buy Roof Oil for OUR SSR at Advance, O'Rielys, AutoZone etc.

Be sure you buy the right Oil! Made in Germany.

It works best.

If you can't find the CHF 11S, Mercedes Benz Hydraulic Fluid 2L is also a good alternative.
