I have been looking around, and tried the search feature, but still haven't came across any definate directions for removing the front of the dash. I'm sure some of you here have done it. Just a few basic instructions will work. How are the strips attached? What is screwed on and what is just snap fit. What order do you remove the pieces. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Still can't figure out how to get the airbag out....

I found the two bolts on the bottom that you get to from inside the glove box.

How do you get to the other bolts holding it in?

some info.

You need to look for two nuts, not bolts. They screw on over studs that come out of the back side of the dash front. One on either side of the air bag cutout.

What makes them particularly difficult to remove is, they are the locking type of nuts. They have to be driven the full length of the stud, they won't spin off.

Getting those top 2 nuts out is very challenging, but worth it in the long run. I used one of those little mechanics mirror, a 10' flexible ectension and a swivel socket adapter and it still took about an hour for each nut. When you do finally get them out, don't bother putting them back in. The bottom two nuts tighten it up just fine. It pulls up tight, doesn't rattle and you will never know they're not back on. Then next time, it comes out oh so easy. I've had my dash apart a couple times. If you still need instructions I could write some but honestly I think I found them under on this board doing a search for after market radio install, which is what I was doing.
