Drove home from work 7 miles with the top down. Went inside to change clothes for bowling. Ate a quick bite, went out to the SSR to leave. Turn the key, gauges went over, radio on, turn key to second step, motor turned over for 1 second, then nothing. Now after trying to start, always silence like the battery not attached. radio still works, I put the top up, lock the doors with remote and then unlocked, tried again, still nothing. Let sit overnight, still nothing. Had to go to work without the SSR, painful. Any ideas?

Just a thought

NOT SURE IF THIS WILL HELP?

Try turning the key to the first position, stepping on the brake, then shift it out of gear. Then shift back to into Park. Turn off the ignition, then attempt to start it. If this works it may be a neutral safety issue, or just a glitch that happens to a select few at the most inoppertune time.

check the fuses and two had blown. Had it trucked to the dealer and they found out that the gauges on the console had shorted out blowing the fuses and the board that controls the security system. They disconected the gauges and replaced the fuses and now she drives. They did say that new brushed chrome gauges are on backorder forever, but red is available if I want to change. Of course the gauges were dealer installled. Makes me wonder, Ummm?
