"Dealer" Postings.......

First of all, thank you for bringing up some of the "mini-spam" postings that have seen on the SSRs for Sale thread by dealers who had not received prior approval from Troy Roberts, our Administrator. Those threads have been deleted.

I hope that you understand, if you are an individual selling your own SSR, please feel free to post it.

If you know a friend or just happened to see a GREAT deal on one that you want to share with us, feel free to post that too, as long as you're willing to accept PM's or post your e-mail address or phone number. (But not the dealer's please) That should be one of the great advantages of being part of the forum.

But if we, or YOU, see a posting that is from a dealer without prior approval, then by all means send Marc NY or myself a PM and we will handle it.

As an FYI, these are the "rules" per Troy's posted instructions:

Welcome to the new for sale section!

This section is setup for our members to post SSRs for sale. Commercial posts are only allowed with prior permission from the forum administrator. If you are a dealer who would like to post an SSR for sale please contact me at [email protected].

We are not trying to eliminate dealers from promoting their deals, we just want to make sure that they are following the stated rules, as all of us should.

I will now step off the Soap Box and return this forum to it's regularly scheduled program....

Buffy stepping up...

Thanxx for the clarification. I, as well as others, thought this might have gotten a bit carried away. It seems like $25 is quite cheap to be offering a service to a group as dedicated as this one...especially when guests are probably non-SSR owners. That would be the market.

Peace :flag

Do the same rules apply to products????
I would say for right now, that would be a true statement.

Again, if one of "us" creates a decal, or emblem or some sort of enhancement for our SSR's and wants to sell a few to make a couple of bucks to recap their time & investment, as long as we contact THAT person directly via PM or e-mail or phone for those goods, I don't see a problem.

BUT, if one of "us" creates a commercial website to sell our wares, then I feel a prior approval from Troy should be in order.

Comments?
supporting vendor

Where does the "Supporting Vendor" fall under this forsale area? The charge of $150 for a supporting vendor is not unreasonable at all, just would like some clarification.

thanks,

A Supporting Vendor can advertise as much as they want, including phone numbers and websites. That's what they get for their $150.

So a dealer that wants to sell there cars here should be a 'Supporting Vender' and pay there $150.00. (Even if only 1 vehicle).

Glenn

2006 SSR At Saturn of Port Richey

Stopped by the Saturn dealer ship in Port Richey Today, and saw a Black 2006 for sale. Talked to the Internet Manager Art Goldman, and told him I would let all the SSR fans know. He told me 4 have stopped by already. He is a great guy so if you are interested go to their website at [Please PM seller to get the details on this SSR] and give him a call
Dealer owners may make money but the salesman have to work hard for it
DO you have any pic of your SSR and is it a 4 speed or a Auto.

thanks JIm

The 4 speed is the auto. The stick is a 6 speed.
