My niece couldn't quit laughing at the picture of the SSR I sent her. Is this the normal reaction when people see that funny looking snout?

I mean, when you drive down the street, do you see people fall to the ground in uncrontollable laughter?

Is it hard to impress women with it because they're laughing too much?

:lol

Everyone I've come across compliments me on the SSR! :thumbs
Some are just wild about it, and I get compliments on it EVERY day! :ssr
But there's always a "first"
I drove from Ft. Worth to Abliene, and back, Sunday, My 12 year old nephew thought it was a BLAST! :flag
Then coming back I stopped in some little town, Cisco? or somewhere like that, at a gas station/convenience store/restaurant, and some store employee is sitting in a booth smoking a cigarette, and with a hick Texas twang says;
"That sure is a funi lukin truck, does it git gud mileage?" :rolleyes: :skep
I just looked at her and said, "Not really." :rolleyes:
She said, "Don'd luuk like it wud."

If it is your niece.....she is probably too young to appreciate the old school look of the front end or even a hot rod for that matter and she thinks it's funny. Just like I think these kids driving around in "scrape the ground" Hondas and such with those ever loud sewing machine mufflers on them are hilarious! Most people who truly enjoy cars and the beauty of a classic, LOVE EM! "Don't Worry, Be Happy"!

Seems to be an age thing. My 16 year old daughters first reaction was " You did not buy that!" Although she does now like it, she still giggles when I drive up with the top down. Must be the sun reflecting off my head!

Just so wildcat knows, I'm a native Texan, born in Kermit. I was a military brat, and lived in California, Colorado, Germany, and North Carolina. :seeya
Except for a 3 month move to La Quinda, CA. in 1991, I've been in Texas since January of 1973. :thumbs
So having said that, it sould explain that as a native Texan, I KNOW a HICK Texas twang when I hear one. :lol
(People in North Texas speak a certain way, as do the people in East, and West Texas.)

So you're saying I'd better concentrate on cruising the retirement homes for chicks? :)

I'm glad I'm four states away from any ensuing fallout.
