Has anyone tried the door popper on the cargo lid. Looks like a good possibility to solve the cargo lid lifting problem. I'm looking for a good way to install concealed as possible. Here is the link to the popper:

I think Buffy brought them up a while back. Problem is a place to mount them.

60 pounds of force to open means 60 pounds of force to close. If you use something like this on a door, you have the inertia to help you close. The rear bed cover has no inertial help on closing.

Leverage

have to find the sweet spot towards the seat side that will still lift the lid and leave enough leverage on the tailgate side to close. an actuator or convertable hydrolics would be to bulky.

What we need...

... is for GM to redesign the latches so they have an additional 1/2 inch or so of upward push. Just enough to disengage the weather seal against the tailgate.
