Instead of replacing the factory bose speaker in the door, I would like to just put in some good quality aftermarket ones. Is there a direct fit size, or do I have to retrofit some standard size into additional brakets? Like do regular 6 1/2 or 5 1/4 speakers fit? I am awaiting door panel removal instructions, and would like to have proper speaker to install once I get the panels off. And I guess I should ask, will aftermarket speakers work in the bose system? Or is the amp with each speaker like in the old vette's? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated...Trying to go on a Christmas trip, and would like to have the radio playing on all channels.........
