Doing a another project build fitting in Lexus 1UZ -fe 4.0 V8 into 1990 LJ70 series Landcruiser. Originally had small four cylinder 2.4 Diesel engine. The replacement V8 engine has firing order 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2,
Aiming for nice rumble that you get in American V8’s

Easiest option for exhaust is true dual but could fit in H pipe if I thought it would improve sound. I am more interested in sound than power, any suggestions ?

Hi Richard,

If you are going to install an "H" or "X" pipe in the system, it is absolutely critical that the "H" or "X" be exactly the same distance from each cylinder head. If one head pipe is longer than the other, you will have conflicting pulses going through the crossing point. Chose wisely.

Am going to try true dual exhaust with side pipes first to see how it works out.
Remember riding in my truck at Branson? My side pipes were not functional... Yours will sound so much better! Good luck on your project!
