We are running a group purchase that covers all of the SuperMaxx long tube header packages that Dynatech produces. Pricing is lower than we are allowed to put in writing so you will need to give us a call to receive a price quote. 10 or more orders are required by Monday, August 8th for the GP to go through. The first batch of systems will be ordered as soon as we receive 10 orders so it is beneficial to place your order early. The pricing that you will receive includes shipping in the 48 states.

Also have a GP for the Magnaflow exhausts. This covers all systems that they produce. Pricing is lower than we are allowed to post for this too but you can receive a quote through e-mail or giving us a call at 1-877-482-9763. Ten or more orders are required by Friday, August 5th for this to go through. The first batch will be ordered as soon as we receive 10. Shipping in the 48 states is included in the pricing that you will receive.

Orders can be placed online or by calling 1-877-4-TBYRNE (1-877-482-9763)

Have a good day!

Are the SuperMaxx headers CARB approved?

Hey California Owners

I understand that you can't buy normal headers in California and that no one is even allowed to ship them there. But what is to stop anybody from taking a drive to Arizona or Nevada and doing a little aftermarket shopping?

The Supermaxx headers are NOT ARB aporoved, and therefor not legal in California.

A good non-group competitive price for the Supermaxx headers WITH the high flow cats is about $1275 shipped. Much less (cannot remember exactly how much less) without the hi flow cats, BUT do not buy them without the cats!! Without the cats, you can't run a closed loop system and so your engine control goes to hell.

If you do not specify the Supermaxx headers WITH the hi flow cats, an unscrupulous vendor sometimes quotes the cat-less ones, so make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

Have to watch out for those shady vendors! We quote price for headers by themeselves and also for the complete package with highflow cats. This is what 99% of customers go with. Alot of manufacturers have what is called minimum advertised pricing and others goto the extent of not allowing vendors to put the discounted pricing in writing. That is how it is with these. Regular retail is $1399.99. GP price is much better than what was posted above :)

I don't believe it is illegal to purchase headers here in California. But as the state has a huge clean air problem in the highly populated area's, the enviromentalists have created a monitoring system entitled, "California Air Resources Board". Their mission: "To promote and protect public health, welfare and ecological resources through the effective and efficient reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering the effects on the economy of the state."

That means that all aftermarket products relative to emissions must be approved by that Board. Obtaining approval is an expensive and arduous task, at best.

Yes, one could drive to Arizona or Nevada to purchase products but California requires every vehicle undergo a complete emissions control test (Smog Test) every two years on most vehicles. Any modification to emission producing components would surely be discovered during that test. Inspectors also do a thorough physical inspection of any aftermarket products to determine CARB approval. If ya don't have it, ya gotta take it off and replace it!!!

Question...

Stainless Works says their long tubes for the SSR fit both the automatic and the 6 speed. Is the problem with the SuperMaxx a clearance thing? Is there a plan for long tubes from SuperMaxx that fit the 6 speed?
