Jeff, the U7193 is the correct part number for the 05 SSR. Works for the 04, 05 Chevy, 4.8 / 5.3 & 6.0 Liter engines. When you asked, I had a hint of "hey, does this model work for the 05 SSR". I'm gonna give them a call and make sure, but I'm almost positive the 6.0 L for the Silverado is the same as the 6.0L in the SSR, just tuned differently.

The Diablo saves the factory "Flash Tune" in memory so that it can be re-installed at a later date, kind of like restoring a hard drive on a computer. In fact, the Predator locks to a certain VIN number and cannot be used on another vehicle once installed.

Chris: Be careful! I am almost certain that the Predator for the 03 and 04 SSR will NOT work on the 05 SSR, as the 05 SSR and Corvette use a CAN logic that the codebreakers have not yet broken. Check with the supplier on this one for sure, Chris.

I drove from Oklahoma City down to Dallas to get Chris to install my Dynatech SuperMaxx headers which I bought from him. All went VERY well and I was more than pleased with the price. Better yet, I love those headers and Chris is getting me a price quote on a cat-back set of Corso muffler/tailpipes.

One's coming right back at ya! Hey I see Jim G chimed in. Haven't heard from you in a while Jim, it's good that you're here. I was a little skeptical on the Predator Tuner as well, so I called DiabloSport today and I'm told that as long as it's not an LS2 it'll work.

So what is the story Jim? Is the SSR 6.0 Liter a LS2 or LS1. I'm learning here, and you're a wealth of information.

PS YallerDog, I haven't forgotten about you. I couldn't get hold of my contact at Corsa today and I'm not set up as a dealer yet so I've only got one guy I can work thru right at the moment, but I will get back to you. By the way, Joe, thanks for the support and kind words. We learned some things about SSR Dynatech Header installation didn't we! :thumbs

Can't thank you enough on this one. I can't really get a solid answer from Diablo, except to say that they stated that as long as the engine is not a LS2, it will work. I'd like to find out if anybody's tried one.

Jim we appreciate you clearing that up. DiabloSport is supposed to release their "Tune" for the LS2 this month or beginning of next. As soon as I can get my hands on some I'll purchase a couple of dozen and have them for anybody interesed.

As more information becomes available, I'll post back to the forum.

You most likely got my email, but I wanted to post back to the forum as well..

My supplier is telling me that preliminary, he doesn't show that Corsa has a Cat Back system for the 05 SSR. I did find out the difference between the Sport and the Touring models, the Sport is substantially louder.

I'll confirm about the availability of the Corsa Cat Back, if it's not available, when it will be.

No Corsa for the 05

I did confirm on the Corsa Website that there is currently no Cat Back System for the 05 SSR. I am going to try to find out when it's coming out.

Looks like there is a Magnaflow System coming soon!
