Checking eBay lately and I've noticed that there are fewer and fewer SSR's for sale there. Currently NO 2003's are up for auction - and only 18 others...

Maybe a trend??? :cool

It's funny to think back to when the ALLOCATIONS (and spots in line at the dealerships) were being sold on eBay - and then to see the actual SSR's (and PICS) show up there. I think the tide is slowly changing...

It may also be because of the huge rebates on the 2005s that people have just decided to take there trucks off the market until prices rise and stabilize. The prices dropped like a rock over the last couple of months and may have some sellers thinking its better to keep the truck than to give it away.

WHAT??? All the 2003's are sold by dealers and being kept by their current owners? :jester

Oh wait, Auto Trader has 103 2003 SSRs for sale...price range ($60,000 to $23,977). Can you believe the $60k price.....I almost have to call them and laugh :) just laugh nothing else.....just laugh.

I see #0043 is being sold......that would be the earliest VIN I've seen so far (except for #17 or 25).

Wait......#0006? is also being sold. That is a pretty darn low number!

My Dealer in Chicago has a silver 2006 with chrome wheels for $34,900. It was a GM car and it only has 180 miles on it. How can you really beat that price?

Looking at the VIN, 0009 must be a Signature Series.

Yea, I guess I must have messed that up....I was thinking that I saw it was RED in color, but going back I can't find a color associated with it.....

oh here was #25 saying it was RED

As I recall, the difference is the 0 or 1 at the beginning of the last 6 digits.

I double-checked with my sources, Freezer is dead on. The 0 at the beginning of the last 6 digits identifies it as a 1 of 25. I think the 1GCES6 versus 1GCES1 is also part of the difference, but not sure why.

With that said, here is the difference in the two serial number 21's that were built in 2003.............

1GCES64P23B000021 is in the 1 of 25 group, built on 05/12/2003.
1GCES14P53B100021 is regular production, built on 08/27/2003.

Some of you may remember that #2, #3, and #4 were bought by the same guy at
$137,850, $132,500, and $127,200. I believe that at least one of the SS's was bought for as little as $50k (Someone in the right place at the right time).

Just posting for those who didn't know.
