I just hooked up some under dash LED's and wired them into the cigarette lighter, they keep blowing the fuse (2 amp), does anyone know if I should up the amps on the fuse or what is going wrong??

DO NOT up the amperage on the fuse. Most fuses work in conjunction with wire size. If there is an overload and the fuse doesn't pop you could have a fire.
Are you sure its the cigarette lighter fuse? 2 amp seems kind of low. Could it be 20 amp? or are you on some other circuit??

When a fuse pops right away it is usually a direct short. Check your connections. Also check the amperage on the LEDs. Make sure nothing is touching the frame (ground) or another wire.

Some other members hooked them up with no problems. If you do a search you can probably find the wire they hooked to.

Have fun

LED stands for light emitting diodes and a diode (light) wired backwards is a direct short. I agree with the post that says 2 amps is low for a cigarette lighter, way low. Do the smoke test, grab a 30 amp fuse and go to your wife's car and test the lights across the battery? Disregard this information if you are, "The Wife."

It is the accessory fuse, I looked it up in the owner's manuel, when I put in a new 2 amp the auxilary plug worked, I had an air refreshner in it and it lit up, so as soon as I turned the switch on for the lites, it blew again and the air refresher went out!
I must have crossed the wires somewhere, would you agree??

I want to have them on at night when I'm driving, they are low light display's, it's so dark in the cab that the blue would give it a nice "mood". I put a switch so I can turn it off and on when I want. I'm going to take another look at the wiring to see if I crossed wires.
THX!
