While at the sema show , I saw a ssr with a engine dust cover.
at the time I thought it was part of the vehicle. When I picked up
my ssr no such cover was on the car or the gm parts people
could not find the item. Has anyone seen this cover or know
where to get one.

I saw that at the SEMA show also. The sign said that it would be available on 2004 models.

Yes I have the 1sb group, but Im talking about a dust cover
that covers the engine from Left and Right fenders to front of
engine. If you look under the hood you will find 4 mounting
holes along the fenders. The cover is sucured by 4 butterfly
clips.

Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant. I won't have my SSR until next month or March so I can't help you but I'll check it out when I do get it.

I've attached photos of two engine covers that have shown up so far. IMHO, they're both butt ugly - can't imagine hiding the engine when there's so much that can be done with chrome, paint and polish. When I saw the all black insert on the red SSR, my first thought was "how easy is that to get rid of if it's stock?" If it's aftermarket, I guess sales will dictate how many people like that look.
