I'm a new proud owner of a 2004 Slingshot Yellow.

The SSR is definitely a unique automobile. I bought the Slingshot Yellow to tow my new Yellow Z06 when it comes out. I'm not placing an order for one. I want to see it on the showroom floor first. I'm building a Yellow trailer to trailer it to Englishtown, so I'm really looking forward to see the set up all together.

I was wondering if the administrators would mind, adding me to their GM links on the main page of the forum. I am the founder and administrator of FatherLarry's Corvette Shop & Forum. I began the forum 4 years ago, copyrighted and approved by GM. The site gives Corvette history for all years, technical, auto body and detailing information. We also have the formulator of Mobil 1 synthetic oil, Bob Pache on board. He's retired now, and does some PR work for Mobil 1, and also is on the payroll of the Penske Racing Team. He's there to answer your questions about types and choices of oil to use for your vehicle. My site is non profit, and although I have vendors, they are not supporting, but contribute to St Judes Hospital for Children from a link on my home page. I absorb all the costs for running the forum and website.

Stop by and say hello.

Welcome Larry !!!

This is a fun site, welcome I have found the people to be friendly and fun !!!
But they don't like to talk to much about other cars except their SSR'S. I love the car/truck well I refer to it as our catruck, because it is a little of both. Sorry I have never been much of a corvette fan, but have always loved a chevy!!! I even have a jaguar xjs ( but under the hood is a small block 400 with tuned port) ( thats the heartbeat). Right now I'm just the passenger of an 04 SSR, but as soon as I get up enough nerve to steal it from the old man, I will be the cute blonde driver !!!!

Went there, but didn't see a peep about the SSR. I guess it is in the works yet?

I saw comments on ssrforum.com that you'll be adding an SSR section.
Correct...it's not there yet. I'm working on it. Glad you guys got to see my forum, before the adminstrator took off the link.?????

I feel that the Corvette community and the SSR community have a lot in common, since they are both very special vehicles, and in the same family, so we would have a lot to share.

On the contrary. I found everyone here to be very gracious and seem to enjoy sharing a common interest with Corvette owners. I know on my own forum and other forums, people that own Firebirds, GTO's, Camaros, like to post and join in once in a while.

For now I've added a category for the Chevy SSR within my main Corvette forum. If you go to my home page and click on the pic of the SSR, it will take you there. Come and say hi. I get a lot of emails from my members who are really starting to take a interest in the SSR. In a way the Corvette and the SSR seem to go together because they are both unique to their own era. When the '53 Corvette came out, it marked a milestone in automotive history and brought with it a generation of diehard Corvette enthusiasts. I can see the SSR heading this way, if GM gives it a chance. :flag
