Here are the production details for 2003:

Total units: 3416

1SA option: 97%
1SB option 3%

Redline RED: 43.5%
Smokin Asphalt: 32.3%
Slingshot Yellow: 23.4%
..The remaining 0.8% (about 25) were most likely the signature series SSR's

How many actually made it out the door? .... I'm still digging

Hi, Jim

I think the 1SA and 1SB numbers are reversed

Interesting stats on color mix, though.
Thanks for the info.

SSR290: Thanks for the research. I do agree, though, I think the 1SA and 1SB figures are reversed - I've seen far more 1SBs than 1SAs.

In the Automotive Quarterly book on the SSR, they state that the first SSR off of the production line after the 25 Signature Series were built was also painted Ultra Violet. #26 belongs to Rick Waggoner himself, and being the godfather of the SSR seems to warrant an exception to the rule. It's good to be the King.

confused...

According to a post by Freezer, the first 2004 SSR had a VIN # of 3362. That's 54 less than 3416. So that leaves me confused...

Rick Wagoner actually has VIN #50 because it was give to him by his family for his 50th birthday.

Reversed

My mistake. I got the 1SA & 1SB numbers reversed.

These are the final 2003 Chevy numbers. They may have made some test units or something to account for the differences. The list did not specify if all had vin #'s or not. This was all the 2003 SSR units made.

One other item on the list; 54.7% were made with running boards.
