Smitty looks great, What did the system run you all total? How did you route the wiring in the top storage area. Russ
around 3300-3500, no labor. I routed the wires underneath the black foam mat in the top area ,drilled a 2" hole in the bed at the bottom for all the wires even the power.

Subs

It looks like from the picture that you must have had to make cuts into the steel wall behind the seats to insert the subs. Is that true? And if so, aren't you worried about more flex in the frame....

Just wondering.

Smitty,
Shauna told how good it sounds, can't wait to hear it! I love the deep shine, what are you using? I've put a couple coats of Liquid Glass on and love the results, maybe its just the black ??????????

Smitty -

Can you PLEASE post a photo of the Kenwood display when you are listening to an XM station? I think the display shown in the promotional shots looks awful but I think that's the DVD control screen from what I can tell.

I want to get this type of HU, is it at all possible to just adapt to the stock harness, and replace the speaks later?

subs in the bed

That looks very nice. Within a few days of having my SSR, I was playing with the speakers. I ran wires from the amp in my car to two 12" subs in the bed of the SSR. It sounded great with the tailgate down. But, as soon as I closed it, the subs were almost silent. I guess because the bed is airtight, the subs could not work properly. I have them facing each other at the end of a tube. Maybe a different type of enclosure would work? I would love to put them behind the seats like above, but I am concerned with cutting the wall to place them. I know there is plenty of room in the roof compartment.
