Has your key broken? Mine did, and would not stay on the key ring anymore. I had replacement keys made, but, they do not work very good. I tried fixing it with superglue and that didn’t work. Then I tried melting it back together with a soldering iron. That didn’t work either. Then, I got on the interwebby thingy and ordered some heat shrink tubing that you normally use on wiring. This type was coated with a special heat activated glue on the inside. I snipped off a piece the appropriate size, slid it over the break, hit it with a heat gun and TA-DA! So far it has stayed in place and works just fine. FYI. YMMV.

Yes, that's not regular heat shrink tube, it's the double wall adhesive lined tube. Much heavier and perfect for your application.
