:thumbs Just to everyone know, I just put on the 03-04 flowmaster catback American thunder exhaust system on my 05. It bolted right up just like it did on my 03. Hangers and all took less than 2 hours. Used the rack at my local chevy dealer. Sounds awesome with the headers. I can hear it rumbling going down the hyway. but not over powering. But when you step on the footfeed what a roar!!
sounds like a racecar 1/4 mi variaty. Turn the radio normal and I don't notice it. I would figure that the other brands of exhaust systems would fit the 05 ssr also. I did not have to alter anything. :cool :seeya

I do have the dynatech hearders with the hi flo cats in front of the flo. You can hear every cylinder even on downward footfeed pressure. hard to describe. I love it. It is probley too loud for some. but it is a power loud. not just lloud noise. I get no resonence(how ever you spell it) in cab. carry a normal conversation in cab cruisin down the boulavard. :thumbs :ssr :seeya

Ps:I like that little SSR Icon. :cool :)

Bob...question....

I'm looking to hear the sound that Steve McQueens' Mustang had in the movie "Bullet" from 1968. Does yours sound like that??
I'm sure some of the oldtimers out there are familiar with that throaty and sharp tone I'm speaking about.

Any comments??

P/P

Peace :flag

Purple Penelope,

worst case would be to pm me with your phone # I could call you and let you here it over the phone. I have nation plan so no long distance or roaming. It would not cost anything for me. would have to be more accurate than the simulations I here on some of the exhaust web sites. I have not seen that movie in many years. could not tell you what he drove much less the sound the mustang made. I would not mind. :seeya :thumbs

the tips are 4" rolled edge see photo in gallery
